The source author notes that these entries were generated with GPT-3.5 and may contain errors. Spanish Match Rush applies structural cleaning, deduplication, and cross-source prioritization, but cannot guarantee that every translation is error-free. Modifications ------------- Entries were normalized, shortened for matching tiles, checked for supported characters, deduplicated by normalized Spanish headword, ranked with frequency data, and divided into progressive practice bands. Malformed or unsuitable entries were omitted. The game supplies Spanish audio at runtime using the device's browser speech synthesis and does not redistribute recorded audio. Sentence practice ----------------- The sentence practice bank is derived from the sentences.tsv collection in doozan/spanish_data. Those English-Spanish pairs are credited by the source to Tatoeba contributors under CC BY 2.0 France. SENTENCE_ATTRIBUTIONS.tsv preserves the source attribution string for every included sentence by its zero-based index in sentences.json. Original story content ---------------------- The story narratives and randomized question variations are original generated content created for Spanish Match Rush. Voice Coach language catalog ---------------------------- Language-pair availability and headword counts are based on the FreeDict download catalog (https://freedict.org/downloads/). FreeDict dictionaries are distributed under free/open-source licenses; each downloadable dictionary keeps its own source and license metadata. The app's offline starter phrases are a small original interface dataset rather than a copy of third-party app code. Match practice includes compact English-to-language packs derived from the corresponding FreeDict TEI source releases. Each pack records its exact source archive, and its complete COPYING text is preserved under packs/licenses/. Requested packs for Afrikaans, Czech, German, French, Irish Gaelic, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, and Swahili include every usable, deduplicated entry found in the current FreeDict source release. Other legacy packs remain capped at 10,000 entries for responsive on-demand use. Additional language packs ------------------------- The Danish pack combines its FreeDict English–Danish release with cleaned Danish headwords and English glosses from Kaikki.org's extraction of English Wiktionary (CC BY-SA 4.0). The exact export URL and separate license details are in packs/da-DK.json and packs/licenses/da-DK-sources.txt. The matching game places 114 manually reviewed everyday pairs ahead of dictionary senses for Danish, Italian, Polish, German, and French. These starter translations are original curation of common words, not copied from another learning app. Ukrainian, Korean, Twi (represented by the broader Akan dictionary), Haitian Creole, and Scottish Gaelic packs are derived from Kaikki.org's machine-readable extraction of English Wiktionary. These packs retain every distinct headword with a usable English gloss after structural cleaning and deduplication. Kaikki.org / Wiktextract: https://kaikki.org/dictionary/ https://github.com/tatuylonen/wiktextract Wiktionary text is available under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0). Individual pack files record the exact download URL and source language. The app shortens formatting-heavy glosses for playable tiles but does not claim that one dictionary contains every word ever used in a living language. Career Languages ---------------- Career-track definitions, questions, explanations, coding exercises, and math problems are original educational content created for this app. Medical content is introductory education only and does not reproduce licensed UMLS vocabulary. Structural inspiration and reference checks used public documentation from NLM Clinical Tables, Cooklang, ASHRAE, and the open-source projects linked by the user. Daily Language dashboard ------------------------ Weather and geocoding use Open-Meteo's public forecast and geocoding APIs: https://open-meteo.com/en/docs https://open-meteo.com/en/docs/geocoding-api When the learner requests local weather, coordinates are sent directly from the device to Open-Meteo. Match Rush does not receive them. A reduced-precision copy is saved locally to make repeat forecasts faster. Current headline discovery uses the GDELT DOC 2.0 API. The app displays headline metadata and links to the original publishers; it does not republish full news articles. https://blog.gdeltproject.org/gdelt-doc-2-0-api-debuts/ Money Language -------------- Sign Languages ------------- The Sign Languages practice page links to original demonstrations and keeps provider video on the provider's site. ASL resources link to ASL University / Lifeprint and its instructional YouTube lessons; BSL resources link to Sign BSL Dictionary; Auslan links to Auslan Signbank; NZSL links to NZSL Online; Indian Sign Language links to the Government of India's ISLRTC dictionary. Provider terms, licensing, and Deaf-community usage guidance apply. The app does not claim that one sign corresponds to one spoken-language word: sign languages have their own grammar and regional varieties. https://www.lifeprint.com/ https://www.signbsl.com/ https://auslan.org.au/ https://www.nzsl.nz/ https://islrtc.nic.in/isl-dictionary/ Expanded language and pronunciation data (September 2026) --------------------------------------------------------- Irish, Scottish Gaelic, Romanian, French, Norwegian Bokmål, Welsh, Akan/Twi, Hebrew, and Yiddish include usable English-gloss headwords from Kaikki's English Wiktionary extraction, merged with their existing licensed dictionaries. Exact source URLs are preserved in each pack's sources array. Existing FreeDict license files continue to apply to the original entries. https://kaikki.org/dictionary/ Wiktionary-derived text, romanizations, and IPA: CC BY-SA 4.0. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ Pronunciation shards contain original headwords, source romanizations and IPA. The displayed English-letter aid transforms source IPA and is approximate; it is not a substitute for a recorded pronunciation or a dialect-specific guide. Optional online lookup uses the English Wiktionary API and links to its source. Norwegian additions are Bokmål. Akan data is labeled Twi (Akan) in the selector; it is broader than a Twi-only dictionary. Romanian and Romany are separate. Counts describe retained entries, including inflections, phrases and proper nouns, not a claim to include every word of a language or a validated proficiency level. Indicative daily midpoint rates are provided by ExchangeRate-API's open access endpoint and cached on the learner's device. The service requires attribution: https://www.exchangerate-api.com https://www.exchangerate-api.com/docs/free Currency identifiers use ISO 4217 three-letter codes. Conversions are educational estimates, not trading, settlement, or financial advice; consumer providers may apply spreads, fees, taxes, and different rates. ACADEMIC LANGUAGES AND PROGRAM DISCOVERY Match Rush academic lessons, quizzes, program-family descriptions, and pathway prompts are original educational practice content.
